Outdoor Items

9x12 Reversible Rugs - Things we use

9×12 Reversible Outdoor Rugs

We use rugs like this to lay down outside of our camper. They make it so nice to walk on, especially when you are barefoot. Whether it is a grass site, or a concrete one, they are nice to walk on.

Voyager Tools Out-Door Patio Rug Stakes

We have tried several different styles of stakes for our rugs. These are the ones that we like the best. The nails are about 9 1/2″ long and the rings that the nails go through are about an inch in diameter. They do a great job holding down our carpet and have a big enough area to make it super easy to pull them out when we move.

We did try to use one on our canopy and tent, and they worked just fine. The only thing that we noticed was that the rings were a little bent where the support string went up.

Outdoor Rocking Chairs - Things We Use

Outdoor Rocking Chairs

These are the latest chairs that we have bought and use every day. They have a fairly high back and are rated for 250 lbs. They have a can/bottle holder on the side. The rocking feature comes from two hydraulic pistons on the back side of the legs. The chairs a very nice to sit in and pretty comfortable. The only negative I have seen so far on these chairs is the hydraulic pistons start to squeak after a while of use, but all you have to do is spray some lubricating spray on them and it stops.

SUNNYFEEL Folding Camping Table

It amazes me how many people I have seen while living in our RV that just hang out in their RV all day long! One of the joys of being in an RV, to us, is to be able to sit outside and enjoy the outside. Maybe it is just where we have been living because there are more full-time RVers than the weekend warrior types, but still…

My wife and I enjoy sitting outside in our comfy chairs, listed above, and we need a place to put our drinks or whatever else we don’t want to hold while enjoying the outdoors. This table is a perfect fit to sit between us. It is about 18″ x 24″ so there is plenty of room for our stuff. It folds up nicely as well and slides right inside our pass-through storage area for when we are traveling.

Portable Screened Gazebo - Things We Use

Pamapic 12 x 12 Portable Pop up Gazebo

This screened Gazebo was nice to have from about fall through spring. It was horrible when it was 95+ degrees outside. Paired with the screen panels below it is nice for the colder months. The two things that we didn’t like about it, is that it didn’t have a floor so you would have to put a tarp down if you wanted a floor. Secondly, even though we had the panels on the side, the water would still get in when it rained.

PAMAPIC Wind Screen Panel – 3 Pack

They make a nice addition to the screened Gazebo above during the colder months. They were easy to install and blocked the wind. They velcro along three of the sides as well as having hooks on each corner.

Storage

RV Setup

SECBULK Large Capacity Waterproof Storage Bags

This comes with a set of four bags: Power, Fresh Water, Black Water, and Accessory. We use all but the black water bag as it is marked. We put our 50’ power cord in the bag and it still has room for probably 25’ more. The black water bag would probably fit about 20’ of sewer hose, but we choose to store it elsewhere.

Lynx Levelers 20 Pack

When we bought our RV, it came with one pack of these blocks. They come in super handy when you are trying to level your RV and you don’t have automatic levelers. You simply put the where your wheels will be and back up onto them.

We also use them under our tongue jack and our stabilizer jacks. The pack of 10 that came with our RV wasn’t enough. At least one for each stabilizer jack and one or two for the younger, that only left 5 for the wheels if needed, so we grabbed another pack of them.

Lynx Stop ‘N Chock

This is a nice addition to the blocks above. They snap onto the pegs of the blocks, much like Lego blocks do, and give you a more secure chock behind your wheels.

Lynx Cap ‘N Chock Pack

To take these blocks one step further, you can grab this pack that comes with a smooth cap for under the wheel and a Chock for behind it.

Camco TastePURE Marine/RV Water Filter

These filters work pretty well as far as we can tell. They are fairly cheap and they last one to three months, possibly more depending on how much you use your water. We could spend the extra money on the three-step filtration system, but these work for us.

Valterra A01-0020VP Brass 90 Lead-Free Hose Saver

This goes right along with the filter above. We put this between the camper water inlet and the filter. Whether your hose connection is on the inside or the outside, having it hang perpendicular to the outside of your camper puts unwanted stress on the connection.

Golf Cart Accessories

Kandi America Front Basket Replacement Kit

This front basket has been one of the handiest accessories that we have added to our golf cart. With five people riding on it a lot of the time, there isn’t anywhere to put any packages or things that we find on our treks around the campground. This basket is very sturdy and makes the front of the golf look awesome!

HECASA Front Inner Storage Basket

The inner storage basket is great for smaller things. We keep things like a rag to wipe the window off with, our cigarette packs, an extra drink or two, and other smaller odds and ins in.

Kandi Golf Cart Glove Box Door Set

The Coleman or Kandi brand golf carts come standard with two cubbies on each side of the cart. They are fairly deep and you can put quite a bit in them. However, there isn’t anything that will keep the items from falling out while you are driving down the road or going up a hill or to keep them out of the weather. These glove box doors solve that problem!

Universal Racing Steering Wheel for Golf Cart

The steering wheel that comes standard on our golf cart was rounded at the top and flat on the bottom. This made for uncomfortable turning. So we switched it out for this. Not only is it more comfortable to drive with, but the red color also matches the highlight colors on the seats!

Kandi Kruiser Ice Bucket Kit

Under the back seat of the golf cart is an open storage area. If you fold the seat out into the cargo configuration, you can not get to the under-storage. On top of this, much like the cubbies up front, there isn’t any way to keep anything stored there from falling out.

This ice bucket serves a double purpose. While you can use it as intended to keep your beverage of choice cold, you can also use it as storage as we do. We keep our cover, charger cord, and some decorations in it.

MadJax Golf Cart Grab Handle Set

These grab handles simply mount to one of the upright bars that hold up the roof. They give your passengers something to hold on to when you are on uneven terrain or to help you get into the cart

Baxinh Golf Cart Seat Cover with Holes

This seat cover is great for those hot Texas summer days when the sun is beating down on your golf cart and it’s 110 degrees outside. Those seats get a little warn and when you are wearing shorts, it is a skin saver.

Kandi America Golf Cart Wheel Spacer Kit

Some may say that these are just for looks. Honestly, though, these spacers added some stability and gave us a smoother ride than we had before we put them on. They increased the wheelbase by 1 1/2” on the front and 2” on the back. If you go any wider than that, the tires will rub on the fenders though.

Ranger Rear View Mirror

Even though our Coleman Golf cart came with two rear-view side mirrors, there was a massive blind spot in the middle of the cart. We added this mirror so we could remedy that blind spot and so we could make sure that our kids were seated before taking off.

There is another type of rearview mirror that is a bar with multiple mirrors on it, but it is very busy and is, honestly, more distracting than helpful.

TYKOR Cup Holder Extender for Car

Nowadays people typically use larger cups than a standard can or bottle and the cup holders that come factory are just big enough for that, except for one of them. We chose to get these cup holder extenders and put them on our golf cart to be able to hold an insulated cup or something bigger than a can. Even a can with a kookie wouldn’t fit in the cup holders that come standard. As an added bonus, this extender comes with a place to put your phone as well.

NOTE: Make sure that whatever beverage you have in your cup holder has a lid on it, otherwise if it sloshes out while driving, the liquid may end up in the phone holder part and mess up your phone.

Happybuy 4 Person Golf Cart Enclosure

We covered the seat with a cover for the Texas heat, but what about when it is cold? Yes, Texas, does not get as cold as other places, but it still is cold and we needed a way to stay a little warmer and to stay dry when it was raining.

This enclosure works perfectly for both situations and is a lot cheaper than the Kandi brand enclosure!

Roykaw Portable Speaker Mount

Driving your golf cart around the RV park or even the golf course is great, but sometimes you just need a little music to go along with it. One of the best things about this holder, is that it works for more than just speakers, you can also use this to hold water bottles as well.

Roykaw sent this speaker mount to try out on our golf cart and to make a review video of it. If you want to see more about this speaker holder, check out our YouTube video.
